Within the wooded area covered by the sports and hiking trail created in SAURIS (Italy), Marco Nieri has identified a number of trees that can be reached via a special bioenergetic path. These trees create different areas that are very beneficial to the body, with particularly intense effects on certain organs or systems, as listed on the map.

Spending time in these areas improves the energy levels and functionality of the human body's organs, quickly reducing mental and physical stress and increasing overall well-being, as demonstrated by modern diagnostic equipment.

The “healing forest”: in Sauris, the new trail that regenerates body and mind thanks to bioenergy

The small village in Carnia, already awarded “Best Tourism Village” by the World Tourism Organisation, continues to invest in well-being and sustainable innovation: the new bioenergy trail, unique in the region, winds its way through beech and fir trees along 22 “therapeutic” stages.

Sauris, 10 July 2025 – A trail that regenerates mind and body, step by step.
Sauris, a small unspoilt village in the Carnic Alps in the province of Udine, has recently inaugurated its new “Bioenergetic Trail”: a pioneering project for Friuli Venezia Giulia, conceived by bio-researcher Marco Nieri, an international expert in eco-design and habitat health, based on the scientific approach of the Bioenergetic Landscapes method.

The trail, surrounded by nature, exploits the bio-electromagnetic fields emitted by trees to generate measurable benefits for the human body, improving the mental and physical well-being of those who walk it.

Freely accessible, it winds through the village of Velt, between Sauris di Sopra and Sauris di Sotto, and includes 22 “energy” stations where visitors are invited to stop for at least 15 minutes in order to resonate with the energy of the trees. Each stop is associated with specific biological functions: from the nervous system to metabolism, from the ovaries to the thyroid. Thanks to surveys carried out directly on site, the tree species capable of optimally stimulating different areas of the body have been mapped and enhanced, with the aim of creating a natural and free therapeutic experience.

The new trail completes the offering of the so-called “Borgo dello Sport e del Benessere” (Sports and Wellness Village): a small oasis immersed in the greenery of Sauris, where, within a few steps, you will find the Grien Spa, the municipal wellness centre, a riding school, a campsite and a sports centre. This area therefore perfectly represents Sauris' commitment to integrated tourism, where physical activity, self-care and contact with nature coexist in harmony.
